Getting Customers To Join Your Mailing List Is Easier Than You Think

So you want to start an email marketing campaign, but you have no idea how to get your customers email? Well the fact is, getting your clients email legitimately is much easier than many think. However, there is one catch you must give your customers a reason to sign up. Here are a few of the many ways to do this.

Offer Coupons and Prizes

Tell your customers that if they sign up to receive your newsletter that they will receive valuable coupons that others can not. If your clients are serious about your store, you can guarantee repeat customers by sending out coupons every few weeks. At the same time, tell them that if they sign up, they will automatically be enrolled in a monthly drawing for great prizes. This, in conjunction with offering coupons gives your customers a great reason to sign up for your email newsletter.

Give them Something More

Don’t just use your email newsletter as a way to promote new products and services that you may be offering. Instead, give a reason for the customer to sign-up by offering articles, tips, and tricks on the products that you offer. For example, if you run a fish store, give your customers tips on how to clean their tanks more effectively or how to select the right fish for them. Doing so will not only build your up reputation and trust, but it will also give them a great reason to sign up.

Don’t ask for too much Information

A good way to stop your clients from joining you email list is to ask for too much information. For example, is it really necessary for you to ask them their birthday and other information? Probably not, and this is why when they sign up ask them only necessary questions.

Getting your clients email is easier than you think. Don’t give up just because you don’t think any one will want to sign up for your newsletter. Instead offer them incentives to join up and watch the customers on your list grow to new heights.
