FIND OUT WHICH TYPE OF SEARCH MARKETING WORKS FOR YOU

The Differences Between Pay-Per-Click And Organic Search Optimization Revealed

You probably already knew the benefits of being ranked highly on a search engine. While you may know that search engine marketing gets you ranked higher on search engines, you may not know the different vehicles used in search marketing. While the two essentially have the same results, they have many differences between them. At the same time, one method may work best for you, while another method may work best for someone else. If you are unsure on which route to take, here are some quick basic of each method.

Pay-Per-Click

Pay-Per-Click search marketing is as simple as it sounds, every time someone clicks on the link to your page, you will be charged a set amount. In essence in a PPC campaign you are only paying for the actual people who come visit your site. And some regard this as the best method of advertising because you only pay for the results you receive. Another difference between PPC and organic search marketing is that your link will appear under the sponsored links section of the results. However, unlike organic search marketing, you are able to ‘bid’ on where your link is placed. In other words, if you want to be the number one search result all you have to do is outbid everyone else who wants that spot. If you do not wish to spend the time and money to start an organic search marketing campaign then pay-per-click marketing is for you. At the same time, while it is easier, searchers typically click on organic search results more often than they do sponsored links.

Organic Search Marketing

Organic search results are the main results your get from a search engine. At the same time, they appear much bigger and contain more information than pay-per-click links. Given the nature of these results organic search marketing normally gets better results than other methods. However, while it may receive better results, it is much harder to get to the top page of search results with organic search marketing. In fact, it takes a lot of time and effort to get your site where you want it. At the same time, due to the ever changing nature of search results, your site may one day be at the top and the next day is at the bottom. If you plan to start an organic search marketing campaign remember that it will take much longer to see results from it, but in the long run it will be more effective.

Now that you know the two basic options you have in search marketing, you now have the option to pick one that best fits you. Remember just because one works for one company does not mean it will work for yours. Make sure to do some research or look for a professional company to help you do so.
